Despite my best intentions, I've been less than successful at keeping a regular journal. Lately I've been thinking about starting a blog as a way to make journaling more user-friendly (i.e. my freaking hand won't be killing me after I finish writing a paragraph!!). My girl Jen (downhill divas!) has inspired me to stop thinking about it and take action.
I'm hoping that this will enable me to do a better job at being consistent about recording my thoughts on a regular basis. Even though I don't typically make the time for it that I should, I always feel refreshed and relaxed after getting a few things out of my head at the end of the day. Right now I'm working on several things for myself (stay tuned for more info) and I'm struggling to make the time that's necessary to devote to my development without letting other things that are important to me slip away. I find it so easy in my life to get caught up in the things I "have" to do (at home and at work), and I'm ready for a change.
I think that this blog will help me to focus on myself for a few minutes each day, reflect upon how I'm doing in terms of achieving my goals, and decompress. If nothing else, my husband will greatly appreciate me rambling to my blog rather than to him :).
I'm so proud of you! ~Jen~
